Callum Knell has this evening become the fifth housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.
Following this week’s round of nominations, it was revealed on Monday evening to the house that Callum Knell, Dexter Koh, Hazel O’Sullivan and Jack & Joe Glenny would face the public vote this week and with just a few week to go, Callum has lost out this evening.
In a shocking twist on Monday evening, Big Brother showed the nominated housemates which of their fellow housemates had nominated them, which definitely changed the dynamics in the house as Callum told Charlie – who nominated him – that she had lost her biggest fan in the house.
Also this week, the nominated housemates had to campaign to say why they should not be evicted and they also had to campaign to get another housemate evicted. A storm was already brewing between Callum and Dexter, but the campaign process pushed Callum over the edge this week.
Despite the crowd chanting “Get Callum Out”, he left the house to a strong reaction from the crowd, who we thought would want to eat him alive.
When asked if he was surprised that he’d been evicted, he said: “No, I’m not. I thought it would be me or Hazel. I’m broken, I’m absolutely gutted. When you’re doing something you’ve never done you never want it to stop”
Speaking about nominations, he said: “It was a shock to the system, you can look around the house and know you had four and the fifth one from her was a shocker. It was a punch to the gut.”
On Charlie: “She’s wicked. It wasn’t a two-way street and I’ll find my own Charlie on the outside, someone that loves me”.
Speaking about his rocky relationship with Dexter: “He doesn’t like me because I called him on something that was true, he’s playing a game plan, false and a snake. I tried not to let him get under my skin, he’s clever. He’s playing such a game and manipulates people’s emotions.
“He’s bound to [wind me up], if you’re playing poker and someone says they know what card you have, you’ll say it back to them, it’s subliminal”.
Speaking about his new BFF, Sam he said: “The only reason I didn’t like leaving was because of him. Sod Dexter, sod Charlie, sod everyone else. Over seven weeks he turned to me and trusted me. I told Gina and Dan to look after him, but obviously Sam has gone. It was me, Sam and Gina”.
