It’s been revealed today that former Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh Butler and her adorable dog Pudsey are set to dance to Gangnam Style during this year’s National Television Awards, which will air on ITV on January 23.

However, the question everybody wants an answer to – and by ‘everybody’, I mean me and Unreality TV boss Lisa – is whether X Factor host Dermot O’Leary will, as was previously reported, dance a quickstep with Strictly Come Dancing judge, Darcey Bussell…

More on that in a moment, but first, of Ashleigh and Pudsey’s routine to South Korean singer Psy’s hit Gangnam Style, a show source told TV Biz, “Like billions of other creatures across the world, Pudsey is a huge fan of Gangnam Style…

“Ashleigh has been training him up and putting him through his paces for the past few weeks.

“He hasn’t been through this much intense training since Britain’s Got Talent.”

The paper adds, “ITV are hoping the routine goes on to become an internet sensation, just like Psy’s original version, which has been viewed an incredible 1.2BILLION times on YouTube.”

Returning now to the hope that we’re to see some up-market Dermmy Dancing on the night of the NTAs – which of course Dermot is hosting – as mentioned above, we reported last week that The Sun claimed he would be throwing some shapes with ballet star Darcey…

And on reading the article, the lovely Dermot tweeted me to remark, “Well if its in ‘The Sun’ and quotes ‘a Source’ it MUST be true….”

And here’s my reply and the rest of the conversation…

While I can only assure Dermot that I’m not a stalker (honest) I do confess to being a big fan of the Dermot Dancing, and let’s face it, who isn’t?

Here’s a reminder of some of his best routines…
