David Walliams has been driving Simon Cowell something other than crazy this week….we know it makes a big change!
The Little Britain star has been tormenting his boss as auditions continue for Britain’s Got Talent and as well as dancing with an inflatable doll that boasted Cowell’s face, he also nominated the music mogul to take part in a knife throwing act (that very nearly went wrong) and mocked him for his continued tardiness and grumpy behaviour at recent tryouts.
Simon Cowell reckons US talent TV is “a joke” – is he right or is it sour grapes?
Yesterday the ITV team arrived in London for the last of the 2014 auditions, before the forthcoming live shows, and in a bid to make things up to the dad to be, Walliams got behind the wheel of a rather smart Rolls Royce and chauffeured Cowell straight to the Hammersmith Apollo personally.
He dressed for the part and even saluted the casually dressed star, as they giggled on their arrival at the prestigious venue.

The men then joined co-stars Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon on the red carpet for the event and Cowell made so many revelations that we’ve had to write them up in three separate articles.
– He kind of slated Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger and insisted that he’s coming back to the X Factor UK this year to save the show from their boringness…..certainly not because his American series was cancelled due to poor performance. Nope, not at all.
– Simon revealed that he is desperate to have Cheryl Cole back on the X Factor panel this year, not just because he fancies her but because she’s a ‘good judge.’ So good that he sacked her back in 2011? Hmmmm.
– Cowell also admitted that he wants to discover more ‘diamonds’ like One Direction, Olly Murs and Cher Lloyd who can make money for him by finding fame around the globe. Oh yeah, and he thinks he’s getting invited to Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards’ wedding too.
Once the judges got inside the Apollo they finally got to concentrate on the talent on stage and apparently someone performed brilliantly, because David Walliams revealed that he pressed his golden buzzer for the first time.
We previously revealed that each judge would be permitted to send an act straight through to the live shows by pressing their golden buzzer during auditions, however they can each use the special button only once.
Amanda Holden was the first to use hers in Birmingham, Simon Cowell followed suit (though later regretted his choice) and yesterday David chose his favourite act, thought beforehand Cowell admitted he was worried about who the dad of one would choose and joked:
“God only knows who he’ll press his for.”
We can’t wait to find out who it was!
