It certainly was a busy night in the Celebrity Big Brother house last night, as not only did Paula Hamilton become the first evictee of the series, but the housemates – aside from Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag – also had to nominate face to face…

And as we reported earlier, that resulted in Sam Robertson and Ryan Moloney being up for eviction on Friday.

Spencer and Heidi were only immune from nominations this week because they’d been given a secret task, which was – as we reported last night – to convince their fellow housemates that they were walking out.

But in fact, they were headed for the newly pimped out basement where they’ll live in luxury while watching, and manipulating, events in the house…

We have video for you below of the moment that Speidi rejoined the main house having learned about their secret mission from Big Brother in the Diary Room, and I have to say, they’re pretty good actors!

They told the housemates that they’d been keeping a lid on how badly they wanted to leave, fearing that if they’d been open about it, the public would’ve kept them in out of spite, but they added that as they weren’t the first to leave, they felt they had to walk.

Adding that they had similarly hidden their upset at being nominated by everybody in the house, they soon left the main housemates feeling deflated and guilty, which is of course exactly the outcome Big Brother wanted!

On arriving in the basement, Speidi had to contain their joy – lest they be heard in the main house – at finding all their favourite foods and bottle of champagne awaiting them, as well as luxury fixtures and fittings.

Here’s a look at the moment they arrived in the basement…

We will of course keep you posted on what Speidi get up to down there, but news has also emerged about Rylan Clark’s secret task yesterday, which was to convince all the housemates that he was genuinely crying and having a mini-meltdown.

Rylan was told that if he managed to elicit sympathy and hugs from his fellow housemates, he would win prizes for all those who were facing eviction yesterday, so that was of course Frankie Dettori, Paula and Speidi…

The show’s live Twitter feed announced Rylan’s mission, and details of how he was doing.

They tweeted, “1.23pm: Rylan has been called to the Diary Room – could a secret task be in store? We’ve given it away, yes there is… #CBBsecrettask #CBB.

“Rylan has to recreate the hysterical sobbing scene from X Factor by crying tears of sympathy to the 3 nominated HMs #Crylan #CBB.”

Next came the message, “The tears are flowing. Give that boy a medal… #Crylan #CBB.

“Rylan’s got his tear-ducts in a frenzy with Paula. ‘If you don’t let it out it goes toxic’ she advises him. #CBB # Crylan.

“Rylan had Paula convinced – now he’s moved seamlessly to Frankie and he’s weepy all over again. He’ll dehydrate at this rate… #CBB.”

At 2.30pm, the team tweeted, “Rylan (or #Crylan) emerges from the Diary Room with a BB order to sit on the sofas. #CBB.

“Rylan’s coming clean about the #Crylan secret mission. He says he feels bad but they’re all glad he passed. Huzzah! #CBB.”

Well done Rylan!
