Celebrity Big Brother 2013: Sooo, who are we liking or loathing? I love Ryan Moloney and Rylan Clark, but Paula Hamilton? The jury’s out…

Though of course it is only Day 2 of the new series of Celebrity Big Brother, first impressions count, and we’d be interested to hear what your first impressions of the new housemates are…

And of course, you’re no doubt gagging to know what I think 😉 so here goes!

I’m already a fan of Rylan Clark and of Frankie Dettori, who I’ve always had a wee bit of a crush on. Frankie that is, not Rylan, though I do love a bit of Rylan, just a different bit…

Paula Hamilton is, presently, a bit of a conundrum in that I’m not generally a fan of the “eccentric” as I find that the word is often just as easily replaced with “t**t.”

And as we reported earlier, psychologist Jo Hemmings reckons that Paula makes former CBB housemate Jasmine Lennard “look like a pussycat” which takes some doing. I absolutely cannot stand Jasmine, but I’ll hold off on making a definitive decision about Paula until I’ve seen more of her.

Tricia Penrose I immediately warmed to, and ditto for Ryan Moloney, who clearly has a well developed sense of humour and doesn’t mind poking fun at himself…

But it was actually Paula’s behavior with – or rather, towards – Ryan that added to my caution about her because she clearly had no clue who he was, which is entirely forgivable, but what isn’t is the fact that when she thought he was CBB staff, she just ignored him totally when he walked into The Basement.

She only deigned to speak to him to implore him to pull her up out of a bean bag as she thought she was being sprung from the freaky room.

Anyway, next in was Gillian Taylforth, who, like Tricia, I liked on first meeting, partly because she was so nervous, which would indicate to me at any rate that she doesn’t have a big ego. And I like that.

Next up is Sam Robertson, who – I suspect – has an ego the size of Birmingham, and I think I’m going to find it hard to like him. But at least I needn’t worry that my lack of love for him will affect him because he loves himself enough for all of us.

Then there’s Lacey Banghard, who I can only hope is feigning stupidity for the sake of the cameras, because if she really is as dumb as she seems, I don’t know how she can actually live a life…

But again, being cerebrally challenged doesn’t make her a bad person, and I’ll reserve judgement until we’ve seen more of her, metaphorically, though no doubt literally.

On now to Claire Richards, who also seemed terribly nervous during last night’s launch show, but I liked the fact that in her VT, she revealed that she now doesn’t give a flying f*** at a rolling doughnut about her weight. In fact, she’d eat that doughnut, and happily.

Then there’s Razor Ruddock, and as with Frankie and Rylan, I have a soft spot for Razor. I’ve seen him in various other reality TV shows, and he’s always both a good laugh and a real gentleman, so he gets a thumbs up from me.

And finally, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, who, though I’d vaguely heard of them, mean nothing to me as yet, and I’m trying hard to resist stereotyping them under the heading ‘LA Airheads’.

Again, I’ll wait until I’ve seen more of them before I make a decision on their likability or not.

So, what’s your opinion on the new housemates? Let us know, but for now, here’s a reminder of last night’s launch show…
