Fans of Celebrity Big Brother will know that Tricia Penrose left the house on Wednesday night – along with jockey Frankie Dettori – and since then, Tricia has of course been giving interviews to the media about her time in the house.
However, while speaking to the Daily Star, Tricia has made a startling revelation which certainly explains why Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are still in the house, because of course, given they are said to be the “most hated” housemates of all time, it’s been something of a head scratcher that they’re still in the contest.
She said, “Spencer and Heidi told us they have a billionaire backer in England who is voting to make sure they win.
“It’s a friend of theirs. They never said his name. His identity is a total mystery…
“Apparently he has been spending thousands every time they were up for eviction, which is why they are still in the house.
“Every time they were saved, Heidi would smugly say to us: ‘That’s the best thing about having a billionaire friend in England.’”
Former Heartbeat actress Tricia added, “Rylan has got to win. I want fans to vote for him tonight.
“Someone has to find this billionaire and lock him up. He has to be stopped.”
Frankie Dettori confirmed what Tricia said, remarking, “They would always go on about it. People are shocked they lasted so long, and now we know why.
“It’s been the Speidi Show.
“I would say to anyone planning to vote tonight: ‘Vote Rylan!’ I am worried he won’t win and they will.
“They don’t deserve it. Speidi cannot win.”
Both Frankie and Tricia also revealed that there was a second “fight night” incident which Channel 5 chose not to air.
We viewers of course saw the first incident – which occurred when Speidi rejoined the main house after spending 48 hours in the basement spying on the housemates – but the second was apparently a good deal more intense.
Tricia explained, “It kicked off and Speidi fled into the bedroom. Big Brother locked the door.
“They were genuinely worried what we would do to them. They locked it to keep us apart. We were all at boiling point.
“I went mad but Rylan told me to cool it and not give them extra airtime. But he was raging, too. He really wanted to lynch them.”
And Frankie added, “People were frightened of them. Spencer is intimidating. He has that frightening look that he could snap at any moment.
“Even I was frightened of them sometimes.
“From Day One there was a bad atmosphere and we all walked on eggshells around them. I gather they called me names and slagged me off about not being British and told me to go back home.
“But I don’t care. I’ve been called a lot worse.”
Tricia added, “I was scared of Spencer. His eyes were scary. He would sit in the chair staring at me.
“After they came back from the basement, I was afraid to sleep in the same room.
“Thankfully, they were put back in the basement.
“It annoyed me that they called us fake and weirdos. They are the false ones.”
Frankie concluded, “They are a circus act.”
Do you think it’s a foregone conclusion then – in light of claims about their “backer” – that Speidi will win?
I certainly hope not, because even though they’ve without doubt been great entertainment, I’ve wanted Rylan to win from the start.
What say you?
