This evening, it was revealed that Casey Batchelor had become the first housemate to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house during the 2014 finale, and as a result, she finished in sixth place.
Casey has certainly had a very eventful three weeks in the Celebrity Big Brother house, not least because she has been tangled up in some messy love triangle involving herself, Lee Ryan and Jasmine Waltz.
It would see that Casey was very underused on the show as a stand alone character as whenever she got any air time, she was tied to Lee Ryan or in some sort of tiff. Casey has certainly come out of her shell over the last few days, but it was a little too late, unfortunately.
Speaking to Emma Willis during her exit interview, Casey said: “My only goal was to get to the final, I really wanted to achieve that and I’m the only [model] to get to the final”.
“No! Not at all! It was the most difficult thing I have ever done,” she said when asked if she was prepared for her time in the house.
Speaking about her experience in the house, she said: “On the outside world, when there is a situation, you don’t have to deal with it but when you’re in there, you have to deal with it or the tension rises and rises or else it explodes”.
Going on to talk about the messy love triangle, Casey added: “The thing is, with Lee, I was smitten by him. I think because we were cuffed together, we spent 24 hours a day together, which is a long time. It’s like about 20 days. So, with me and Lee, we get on so well and we had great banter together and that’s when the initial attraction started. 24 hours was like 10 or 15 days.
“It was the fact that, when I was lying in bed, I could see they were holding hands and that was the next night. He kissed me one night and I found out he kissed Jasmine the next night.
“I think my family and friends know that this is my weak point in real life. I always go back to someone that hurts me over and over again. Having this in here and so in my face, I have to learn my lesson this time. I think, there’s nowhere else to go and because we do get on as friends, it didn’t instantly happen, we didn’t speak for a day or two. We started speaking again, and we grew closer, but it didn’t happen just like that. It’s because we get on so well as friends and affection is so nice to have in the house,” she said when she was grilled about why she went back to Lee after Jasmine left the house.
“The turning point for me was when my mum came in the house, and your mum never steers you wrong,” Casey added.
