Rylan Clark has revealed that he would love to replace Olly Murs on The Xtra Factor this year.
The former model starred on last year’s series of The X Factor and made it as far as the semi finals, despite the fact that he wasn’t anywhere near the best singer of the bunch.
Last Friday he went on to win Celebrity Big Brother, after a three week stint on the Channel 5 series and the raven haired performer thinks this public support and his ever increasing profile makes him the perfect person to assist Caroline Flack on the ITV2 show.
Olly announced his decision to leave the spin off series at the weekend and Rylan told The Daily Star that he’d be happy to step into his shoes, saying:
“Every series needs a bit of Rylan style. It’s the dream job, especially coming from the show.”
“Not sounding big-headed but if you talk about X Factor from last year there’s three whose name you will bring up and I’d like to think I would be one of them.”
Rylan is a busy man at the minute and has been consumed by the X Factor tour ever since he left the CBB house. Within hours of his win on Friday he was thrown into rehearsals for a concert in Manchester on Saturday and he revealed afterwards that he was already missing his Big Brother family. Clark tweeted:
“Getting ready for tonight’s show great crowd here in Manchester. X missing my housemates x”
Surprisingly, despite butting heads on various occasions in the BB house, Spencer Pratt sent the star a good luck message saying:
“@RylanClark missing you also! Hope your rocking the roof on the X Factor tour! #dropmeout
A slightly shocked Rylan replied:
“@spencerpratt it’s all love in the end big man x”
