Dancing on Ice 2014: Sam Attwater makes the judges happy as he wins a record score

Sam Attwater is next to take to the ice this evening, and he definitely has a lot to prove after being in the bottom two last week and being ever so close to going home.

The bookies have him as the favourite to leave this evening, so let’s hope he can really pull it out of the bag tonight.

In a video that was recorded earlier this week, Vicky admitted that Sam really is a romantic at heart  and he does lots of things to surprise her.

The only thing he had up his sleeve for her was a snotty tissue….

However, on a more serious note, Sam took to Twitter earlier today to say that he was really excited about performing both routines this evening. Og course, the celebrity skaters have their own individual routines to perform, but they also have a Boys Vs Girls group routine to perform this evening.

He wrote on the social networking website: “Loving both routines for tonight’s show! It’s a lot of fun!!”

In his VT this evening, Sam said that it’s now or nothing and he’s determined not to be in the skate off this week. Last week was dreadful as he found himself in the skate off for the third time.

The pair skated to Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ on tonight’s show so he can’t be accused of not being happy this week. There was a lot of content in Sam’s routine this week, which will hopefully win the judges over.

Sam scored a total of 37 points this evening.

Judges Comments

Ashley Roberts: I was clapping along and having fun. I got a bit of groove, I was feeling it.

Karen Barber: He looked happy, as were we. He’s back and he was more confident. It’s been a positive week and there was a lot of great skating.

Jason Gardiner: Look, it’s still an amazing score and you’re doing very well. You’re more relaxed than I’ve seen you. I’m being picky as I know you can be better. It was a bit stiff at times… it has to come from a real place.

Nicky Slater: Right from the start, the vibe you created fitted the music. The skating was of good quality. Super performance.
