Some 8.8million viewers tuned in to last weekend’s Dancing On Ice 2013 debut to see former Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts making her first appearance on the judging panel alongside Robin Cousins, Karen Barber and Jason Gardiner…
But of course, Ashley arguably only landed the DOI role because the nation took her to their hearts when she took part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity, where she of course also caught the eye of presenter Declan Donnelly.
However, despite making no secret of the fact that he fancied Ashley, Dec has apparently not been in touch with her since she left the show.
Speaking to The Sun, Ashley said of Dec – who is of course the presenting partner of Ant McPartlin – “I’ve not heard from him at all, so I can’t see anything happening there now…
“I didn’t see him at the wrap party either.”
She added, “After the party I went to a club with David Haye, Mark Wright and a few friends and danced my little tushy off.
“We partied until the wee hours of the morning and I was bouncing around all over the place because I was so excited to be out of the jungle.
“We had a good time, but nothing happened between me and Mark, either. He’s a nice guy but I’d only been free for 24 hours.
“I just wanted to have some fun.”
Also during the interview, Ashley was asked how she felt about former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson being voted off DOI in the very first show, and if she thinks her exit was anything to do with the now infamous boob slip.
Ashley replied that she didn’t think the wardrobe malfunction had anything to do with Pam being voted off, and it was her frequent stumbles on the ice that cost her her place.
She remarked, “She stumbled too many times in the skate-off. When she tripped for the third time, we were like, ‘C**p, we can’t save her now’.
“Maybe if she had just one slip and had pulled it out of the bag, we could have saved her.
“She was a natural on the ice, but there was no way we could let her off that many mistakes.
“I don’t know if it was nerves or the dress malfunction that got to her, but she had to go.”
Here’s a reminder of Ashley making her DOI debut last week…
