I’m A Celeb fury over ‘cruel’ Adam Thomas, Martin Roberts trial & Christmas cougar Carol confesses…

by Lynn Rowlands

During last night’s edition of I’m A Celebrity, Emmerdale star Adam Thomas and his new BFF, Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martin Roberts, teamed up to take on the latest Bushtucker Trial.

And entitled ‘Pick ‘N Crits’, it didn’t take much for Adam and Martin to figure out it was going to involve the consumption of something icky…

However, though towards the end of the trial, Adam and Martin did have to down a ‘shot’ of fish eye liquid, the rest of the challenge involved simply holding critters in their mouths for 30-seconds apiece.

But on Twitter, a number of I’m A Celeb viewers suggested that the trial was “cruel” on the insects involved…

One I’m A Celeb fan tweeted, “I really don’t understand how I’m A Celeb gets away with some of the s**t they put animals through.”

Another viewer commented, “It’s awful and cruel to animals.”

Well, while I get why those viewers were upset about it, and can fully empathise with the critters in that I wouldn’t want to be mouthed/eaten by Martin Roberts, I’m afraid I routinely Dyson up spiders…

And I freely admit to spraying nerve gas at flies, so I’m not really in any position to criticise I’m A Celeb trial bosses.

However, it could turn out that I’ll have to answer for my crimes against insects in the next world…

But what’s your view on the issue? Are I’m A Celebrity bosses being “cruel’ to the critters they use in trials?

Meanwhile, on a lighter note regarding last night’s show, and Scarlett Moffatt was left shocked when Carol Vorderman confessed that she tends to dump boyfriends in the run-up to Christmas.

Scarlett assumed it was because Carol is a bit of a scrooge and does want to buy her blokes gifts, however, she was soon disabused of that notion when Carol hinted that she cuts romantic ties over the festive season so that she can go on the pull.

While keeping her voice down, cougar Carol said, “Christmas time is party time. I don’t think I should say anymore.”

Well Vorders, we may not be great at maths, but even we can put two and two together. You minxy moo.

Anywho, here’s a reminder of the Bushtucker Trial that caused so much hoo-hah…

I assume the people who make these complaints totally ignore any creepy crawleys that invade their homes.
I’m afraid I don’t, First sign of a spider and it is clobbered as soon as I’ve plucked up the courage. Flies, wasps, ants and slugs are poisoned and if I ever saw a cockroach or a rat I would show it no mercy. If this makes me cruel I plead guilty.
