I’m A Celebrity 2012: David Haye tells Dec Donnelly “Learn yoga if you want a chance with Ashley Roberts!”

by Lynn Rowlands

Since I’m A Celebrity runner-up Ashley Roberts revealed that she was missing sex during her time in the jungle, and later added that she finds British accents sexy, kind and giving host Declan Donnelly offered to help her out, and initial reports from the jungle were that she’d like to let him!

However, Ashley’s fellow camper David Haye – who left the show in third place – apparently reckons Dec will have to learn yoga if he wants to stand a chance with former Pussycat Doll Ashley.

Speaking to the Mirror, he said, “Ashley has been a revelation. I’m not surprised Dec fancies her.

“She was always doing her yoga every day. Dec might have to learn a few of those moves if he can have any chance at all.”

As fans of the show will recall, throughout the series, Dec and his hosting partner Ant McPartlin regularly discussed Ashley, and when we saw the segment in which she talked to Charlie Brooks about the fact she was missing nookie, when the camera panned back to Dec, he said, “Oh my gosh. Everything I want to say is unbroadcastable, or illegal, or career-ending. Let’s calm down.”

Meanwhile, after leaving the jungle this weekend and when asked about a possible romance between herself and Dec, Ashley told The Sun, “All I know about him is he made me eat a fish eyeball.

“But it’s really flattering that he said nice things, because I did not feel attractive in the jungle.

“I was all disgusting and gross. Your nails get full of dirt and you get a black ring inside your nostrils from all the grime, which is not cute at all.

“So I don’t know how anyone ended up liking me, but it’s nice.

“I think everything happens for a reason and when my man comes along, he comes along.

“I’d like to get to know Dec better. It would be nice to go for a drink and a chat.”

However, feisty Ashley added, “I feel independent and strong on my own. If I meet a guy I want to invest time in, that’s an added bonus.

“I like a guy that can make me laugh and be open-minded, who is active and loves travelling.

“They can’t take themselves seriously because life’s too short.

“There’s a part of me that likes the idea of having someone who isn’t in showbiz, because sometimes it’s enough with just you having to deal with fame.

“But you never know who you’re going to fall in love with.

“And I can’t say I won’t fall in love with somebody because they are famous.”

And finally, she said, “When you’re in the jungle not able to do anything, your body wants stimulation.

“I’ve been deprived of many things. So now I’m out I’m definitely going to have a good time.

“There were moments where I questioned if I could handle it for three weeks. But I knew I wasn’t going to just give up.

“And now I am just so proud of myself.”
