ITV are preparing to launch a brand new reality TV show, it’s been reported this morning and one that should prove pretty interesting we’d say.

Driving With The Stars will feature a number of famous faces who will each take on the role of driving instructor for a short period, while of course followed by cameras the whole time.

The celebrities will work with so called ‘problem drivers’ and help them as they approach their driving test, though it’s been claimed that one of the stars could be Joey Essex and since he can’t tie his own shoelaces, we do have to wonder how he’ll teach anyone about gears and clutch usage!

Celebrity Big Brother winner Jim Davidson is also said to be in talks with ITV bosses, despite the fact that he received a driving ban in 2011 after being caught speeding in his Aston Martin. He was issued with the six month ban after being caught driving at 39mph in a 30mph zone. The star was also ordered to pay the maximum fine of £1,000 and ordered to pay costs of £750.

The Sun reports that former Coronation Street actress Julie Hesmondhalgh, 43, will also take part, which we think will be TV gold. After all, who could forget her alter ego Hayley Cropper teaching hubby Roy to drive?

Former TOWIE star Amy Childs will also apparently take part, but we bet she leaves her Jeep, with it’s £80,000 customised ‘Well Jell’ number plate at home!

Insiders say ITV bosses are hoping Driving With The Stars will be a bigger hit than their recent reality TV show which featured celerities…..diving.

Splash was a bit of a flop for the channel throughout it’s second series – not that the first was a massive hit – and it’s looking doubtful that the show will be commissioned for another run.

Lisa has been watching reality TV for too long now. She won't do any housework unless 'Big Brother' announces it over the tannoy and everything she does has to be put to a public vote!

This proposed show could have legal problems. If the ‘celebs’ receive payment for teaching someone to drive, they would breach Section 123 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. This act makes it a legal requirement to have the instructors name on the Register of Approved Driving Instructors.
