Keeping Up with the Kardashians season 13 ratings are way down, and Kris Jenner is reportedly not happy about the rating slip.
The Kardashians may be the first family of reality TV, though Headline Planet is reporting that Kim and co pulled in significantly less viewers for the most recent premiere as the show brought in 33% less viewers that last season’s premiere. Ouch!
According to the site, only around 1.48 million viewers watched the famous family’s return to TV for Keeping Up with the Kardashians season 13, which is around 700,000 less people than watched the Season 12 premiere in 2016.
According to Radar Online, Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner really isn’t happy about the ratings slip and has supposedly offered Kim a big bonus to bring the drama to the new season in a desperate attempt to boost ratings.
“Kris gave Kim a huge bonus to deliver for this upcoming season like she has never done before,” a source claimed, calling Jenner’s pay check “a last-ditch effort to save the franchise.”
“Kim and Kris both seem to think that their fans only really care about seeing Kanye’s breakdown and the aftermath of Kim’s robbery in Paris,” continued the insider of Kardashian and West’s seriously dramatic 2016 which is set to play out on the show, adding that Kim knows that if ratings keep slipping E! could be done with the franchise.
“Kim knows that she has to get people to tune in and if the ratings are not good, the show could be on the chopping block,” the source revealed. “As much as Kim wants people to think that she is over the fame and does not need the show, the truth is that she cannot live without being famous.”
