Liam Payne reaches out to male fans – Harry Styles & Niall Horan reveal One Direction Twitter rules!

Liam Payne has pleaded with male music fans to give One Direction a chance.

The Wolverhampton born hunk thinks his band are majorly misunderstood and misrepresented in the media and is sure that if many music lovers gave their tunes a try, they would enjoy the tracks immensely.

Payne takes offence when people claim they spend more time enjoying their fame and wooing girls, than they do making music.

The Little Things singer has been working hard with Louis Tomlinson this month, writing songs and planning tracks for their fourth album and he’s beseeched male listeners particularly to give it a try and judge them on the merit of their music and not their media profile.

“We just wanna make good music…. honestly, every lad out there tonight who think that One Direction are this and that, literally, our next album, pick it up and see what you feel,” he told a reporter at the BRIT Awards last week.

Payne recently confirmed that he is hoping to have a collaboration with Pharrell Williams and a host of other stars on the band’s new record, which is set for release at the end of this year.

In an interview with Capital FM Liam revealed that he’s hoping the new music will lead to more male fans for 1D.

Meanwhile, Harry Styles and Niall Horan have been laying out their Twitter rules for all to see.

The lads boast more than 17 million followers on the micro blogging site each and are very aware that what they put on there can shape their whole public image.

While Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne have, at times, landed themselves in hot water with their tweets and spats online, Harry and Niall have avoided the worst of the scandals and here’s why.

Styles told We Love Pop magazine that he likes to tweet as if his ‘grandma is going to read it’, which we think is a pretty sound strategy.

Niall wouldn’t post anything that he wouldn’t ‘stand on a chair and say’ to his mum.

The strategy has worked well, as it was the boys’ dedicated Twitter followers that helped them land a Brit Award for Best Video earlier this week, beating stars such as Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris in the process.
