One Direction: Blue Peter presenter Yvette Fielding insists “Harry Styles is not a sex pest”

Yvette Fielding has slammed claims that she accused Harry Styles of sending her inappropriate texts as a 16-year-old boy, insisting that “Harry Styles is not a sex pest!”

As we reported yesterday, the Blue Peter presenter was claimed to have told Woman magazine that she had received dirty text messages from One Direction star, Harry Styles, when he was just 16 years old.

Yvette, who joined the popular kids TV show Blue Peter back in 1987, was quoted as saying that the One Direction heart throb sent her the inappropriate text messages during a meal she shared with him, her husband and Harry’s mum a few years ago.

Speaking to Woman magazine Yvette refused to disclose the details of the text messages, but was reported as saying:

“Harry was sending me disgusting texts from across the table. I can’t even repeat the words, they were so rude!

“He’s a Romeo, he’s very romantic.
“When there’s a love interest, Harry will go all out to get the girl.
“He’s totally obsessed. I think that’s what Simon Cowell saw in him, the cheeky chappie charm.”

Harry had been best friends with Yvette’s son who he grew up with in the same Cheshire town, though Yvette claims that Harry broke off the friendship when he found fame on the X Factor, despite the friendship being so solid Harry used to refer to her as his ‘second mum’:

“The first time I met Harry, he did a sweeping bow and got down on his knees on the road.

“I thought, ‘what a joker, we’ll get on well’.

“When he came for tea, he loved pizza and chips.

“He called me his second mum and he and Will lived in each other’s pockets.”

A spokesman for Harry Styles strenuously denied the claims that he sent Yvette rude texts, saying yesterday: “Harry has never sent any rude or inappropriate texts to Yvette Fielding.”

And now Yvette has come out to say that the story printed about the incident in the popular women’s mag were all lies, and a friend close to the presenter has said that she is even considering legal action against them after they are reported as saying that they stick by the story.

The former Blue Peter presenter released a statement, after being inundated with abuse on social networking site, Twitter, from angry One Directioner’s who branded her a “bitter and vile” “psycho” “tramp”.

The Sun newspaper quotes Yvette as saying:

“This story is a load of b******s, he never did it and I never said it.”

Meanwhile Robin Twist, who is the partner of Harry’s mum Anne, has revealed that a very “upset” Yvette called them to clear the air, adding:

“It is total rubbish. Yvette is very upset about it all — she called Anne this morning to explain what had happened.”

And Yvette’s husband Karl Beattie is reported as saying that: “Yvette is too upset at the moment to talk.”
