One Direction are coming to a TV screen near you very soon….according to Simon Cowell and who would know better than him?
Simon of course masterminded the boyband on The X Factor and he’s now their record label boss and all round puppet master.
The music mogul was in London today chatting on the red carpet of the Britain’s Got Talent auditions and he revealed that Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles are in talks with TV bosses and could soon be featuring in their own reality TV show.
Cowell will be in England until the end of the week – before flying to New York to join his baby mama to be – and he’s apparently planning to meet with the Little Things singers to chat through some plans and propositions.
Simon told The Mirror:
“I think there’s something in the works, a possible TV show.”
He also confirmed the rumours that 1D will have a new album out later this year and work will start on that record before the band’s world tour.
So what we want to know is what will a One Direction reality TV show look like?
Well first of all there’ll have to be LOTs of concert footage!
We are imagining a weekly show that’s very similar to the This Is Us movie, but in smaller instalments. The fab fivesome are set to head off on their Where We Are stadium tour in April, so we’d be expecting lots of backstage jokes, many, many pranks and definitely – if they want to keep their female viewers, plenty of shirtless moments. Something like the photo above!
We also imagine there will be a number of emotional face to camera interviews, footage of our favourite boys on their tour bus, shots of them getting mobbed around the world as they travel through some of the biggest cities on the globe and of course we’ll see them surfing, sailing, bungee jumping and all other kinds of crazy stuff.
But do you know what we won’t see? Well we’d be very surprised if we see much of the boys’ girlfriends. Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder and Liam Payne and Sophia Smith are elusive at the best of times and Harry Styles is like Casper the Friendly Ghost when it comes to trying to catch a glimpse of him with Kendall Jenner.
We aren’t expecting to see much smooching, loved up moments or declarations of love, however we are hoping to see the singers with their families and friends and we’d die if we got some footage of Niall cradling his baby nephew Theo.
What do you think of the news One Direction fans? Would you tune in to watch a 1D reality TV show? If so, what do you want to see?
