Over The Rainbow judge Charlotte Church has insisted that she will be tough on hopefuls taking part in the BBC show.
The talent show fronted by Andrew Lloyd Webber, will search for a girl to play Dorothy in the West End production of The Wizard Of Oz and Charlotte says that she must be tough on the contestants, to help prepare them for the showbiz industry.
Speaking on This Morning Charlotte said:
“This business all over is harsh – the Press, the general public.
“People can say whatever like about you, so you have to be quite tough to start off with.”
Laughing, she said: “I have had some pretty bad reviews in terms of anything I have done in my career, the chat show, albums that I have done, live performance. I tend to disregard them to be honest.”
However, Charlotte claims that she isn’t the toughest judge on the panel. She added:
“Who will be the harshest out of the three of us? John can be quite nasty.
“Maybe John is the most straight talking out of us all but I don’t think any of us are unnecessarily harsh.”
