TOWIE: Lauren Pope does a pregnancy test, Mario admits he has lost Lucy Mecklenburgh for good and could Sam Faiers and Joey Essex be about to quit?

by Anna Howell

After Sundays episode of The Only Way Is Essex where Lauren Pope revealed to her bestie, Chloe Simms, that her period was later after sleeping with ex-boyfriend co-star Kirk Norcross, tonight will see her take a pregnancy test to either confirm her worst fears, or put her mind at rest.

And of course, in true Essex style where the girls get glammed up to the opening of an envelope, the opening of a pregnancy test is no different as both she and Chloe get all dolled up to get the results. But what will it be? Find out tonight!

Elsewhere Mario Falcone can be seen breaking down in tears in tonight’s ITV2 episode as he admits to his mum Kim that he fears his relationship with Lucy Mecklenburgh is over for good.

Fans of the hit ITV2 show will know that during Sunday’s series premier Lucy was confronted by a new Sugar Hut Hunnie claiming to have slept with Mario, who Lucy broke off her engagement to last year, last September.

Lucy did not want to believe what she was being told, and we all suspected that this latest incident in a string of many would have been long forgotten by the time we joined the gang again tonight, but it seems we were wrong!

A show insider told the Dun newspaper: “Mario’s relationship is in turmoil and he pours his heart out to his mum Kim, telling her he is adamant that he never cheated.”

Elsewhere, according to the Sunday Mirror, The Only way Is Essex may be about to lose their biggest stars, couple Sam Faiers and Joey Essex, as it is believed they are on the verge of quitting the show to embark on their own spin-off series!

Bosses at the hit ITV2 reality show are reportedly very worried, fearing that losing two of its main starts could really damage TOWIE’s already flagging viewing ratings.

A source reportedly told the publication:

“This is the last thing we needed. Sam is the most popular female on ‘TOWIE’, one of the few original cast. She’s had many offers but didn’t feel ready to take that leap till now. Her relationship with Joey is one of the main storylines and he’s agreed to take that leap with her.”

It is believed that Sam and Joey have already filmed a pilot for their own show, which centres on their relationship which has always had more than its fair share of drama, details of which are expected to emerge “imminently”.

The insider explained: “During the break from filming, Sam made a pilot for the spin-off. It concentrates on her relationship with Joey and all the joy and drama that entails.

“An announcement of which network will show it is imminent. There hasn’t been a big TV couple since Katie Price and Peter Andre and Joey and Sam are keen to fill the gap.”

“Producers are desperate to find new stars to keep the show alive.”

The Only Way Is Essex continues tonight at 10pm on ITV2/ITV2 HD.
