Former The Only Way Is Essex star, Lydia Bright, has revealed that she is not missing being in the show!
Lydia sensationally left the hit ITV2 reality show during last year’s Christmas special claiming that it was her relationship with ex-boyfriend, James ‘Arg’ Argent, that made it impossible for her to carry on filming.
Lydia and Arg had endured a turbulent on-off-on again relationship throughout the first few series of the show, until Lydia finally had enough of being constantly put down and cheated on by the larger than life Dean Martin wannabe, and kicked him to the curb, before moving onto a new relationship with co-star, Tom Kilbey.
Since Lydia’s departure the once hugely popular show has found many of its main cast quitting or lashing out at the shows production, leaving a huge question mark over its future.
So it is no wonder that Lydia isn’t missing the show, which she confirmed was the case to Heatworld in a recent interview, where she said:
“I really don’t miss it actually.”
“I know that may sound bad, but I’m really busy with my fashion stuff. My range Bella Sorella is doing really well, if I wasn’t busy then maybe I’d miss it, I don’t know,”
On the subject of the show’s current predicament, the boutique owner mused:
“I don’t know if it will carry on, I suppose it has to doesn’t it? But it’s a shame that Kirk and Mick have left the show as they are great in it,”
The reality star then went on to explain that, whilst she no longer has no contact with Arg, she has remained friends with Lauren Goodger and Lucy Mecklenburgh:
“There the girls I see most. I’m still living in Buckhurst Hill but I never bump into any of the other guys.”
