TOWIE: Ricky Rayment and Jessica Wright say, apart from Lucy Mecklenburgh and Mario Falcone, there are no cast issues!

In wake of all the recent allegations that The Only Way Is Essex has become too scripted for even its own cast, show stars Jessica Wright Ricky Rayment have come out to say that despite feeling sorry for Lucy Mecklenburg and Mario Falcone, who have found themselves in the midst of all the current drama, they do not agree that the show is scripted.

Discussing the recent allegations at the TRIC Awards in London last night, Ricky revealed that he and the rest of his fellow classmates have an enormous bond and trust within the production team, and that if rumours are to be believed that Lucy Mecklenburg and Mario Falcone are leaving the show the cast would simply “ignore it” and get on with things.

Speaking to the Sun newspaper, Ricky commented

“We’re such a tight group that if one or two people leave we just stick together and ignore it,

“To be honest with you, it’s nothing to do with us – we’re quite happy with what we’re doing.”

Meanwhile, his girlfriends, Jess, backed up her partner’s statement is dismissing Mario’s claims that the “producers are still lying” to us all, adding that she believes personal issues had got in the way of his work.

Jess explained to the publication:

“Unfortunately, people’s personal lives are having an effect on their professional lives.

“With Lucy [Mecklenburgh] and Mario, they’ve been going through a bit of a rough patch.

“The accusations on TOWIE… whether they’re true or not, it’s going to get to you.

“It’s a reality show so you’re not acting, it’s your personal life.”

Meanwhile Ricky was quick to add how a cast boasting so many big personalities was always likely to lead to disagreements, explaining:

“You’ve got to think, if you put thirty people together in a room that know each other, someone’s going to argue, something’s going to go off,” he said.

Whilst Jessica concurred: “Personalities clash, I think that’s what’s happened with TOWIE. But that’s why people love it.”

The Only Way Is Essex can be seen Sunday and Wednesday night’s at 10pm on ITV2/ITV2 HD.
