TOWIE: Amy Childs lands her own reality show – again! (and wants Rylan Clark to join her!)

by Anna Howell

Former The Only Way Is Essex star, Amy Childs, has been given another reality show!

Amy, who left TOWIE after the second series to take part in Celebrity Big Brother, which she came fourth in, has already tried her hand at her own reality project when she took part in fly-on-the-wall reality show It’s All About Amy.

It’s All About Amy hit our screens in December 2011. The show involved Childs, her family, and her friends taking part in Childs’ business investments, but after a lukewarm reception the show was not recommissioned after the first series.

However, desperate not to let her new show follow suit, Amy is reportedly planning to try and draft in the hottest reality star if the moment, Rylan Clark, on board to help boost viewing figures this time round!

Essex lad Rylan won the hearts of the nation whilst taking part in last year’s X Factor, where he eventually was voted off after weeks of constant criticism from head judge Gary Barlow who referred to him as an ‘eccentric novelty act’.

After leaving the X Factor Rylan was immediately snapped up for a string of television appearances including a presenting part on ITV’s breakfast show, Daybreak, before taking part in, and eventually winning this year’s Celebrity Big Brother.

Now, with Olly Murs quitting his role as presenter on X Factor spin-off show, the Xtra Factor, Rylan has been named as his replacement but before the show starts again later this year, Amy wants to get her hands on Rylan for her show.

Amy and Rylan met during his X Factor time and the salon beauty and boutique owner voiced a very public support for her new Essex GBFF, and is probably hoping that he will now return the favour!

Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, Amy revealed her plans for the new show, admitting:

“I’m filming a new show – it’s my big new project. I can’t say too much. But after I was on Celebrity Wedding Planner the phone was ringing and my management had a lot of meetings with TV companies.

“Everyone will hear more about it in the next few months.”

On the subject of Rylan, she mused:

“Lots of people want to see me and Rylan doing our own show.

“Hopefully when he’s less busy we can take over Essex and have a real laugh. He’s already told me he wants to come in my salon.”
