Gary Barlow is so happy with his physique these days that he likes to conduct meetings while shirtless, it has been reported this morning.
The Take That star has shed loads of weight in recent years and has become a running enthusiast and gym bunny since he returned to the spotlight when Take That reformed in 2006.
When he first joined the X Factor panel the singer used to take his contestants jogging and put them on special diets. He may have moved past that level of involvement with the hopefuls now, but recently eliminated Kingsland Road told The Sun that they conducted countless meetings with the ‘Patience’ hitmaker, while he was showing off his well formed abs and pectoral muscles.
Joe told the newspaper:
“We always went in his dressing room to sing to him and he was always topless.
“He has got a right body on him. He has just got nothing to hide, clearly. He was always getting changed when we went in!”
Jay added: “Gary was always shirtless when we went in his dressing room.”
Meanwhile, X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary has revealed that he struggles to keep his emotions under control on the results show each Sunday.
It’s up to the handsome host to reveal who is staying and who is going home each weekend and apparently the tension gets to him as much as everyone else on the stage.
He said: “The hardest part of my job is telling the contestants who is going home on the Sunday. It is always a sad moment but it’s the reality of the show. We know it has to happen.”
Dermot admitted that he found it particularly hard to say goodbye to Kingsland Road on Sunday, after he formed a friendship with them backstage this year. O’Leary continued:
“It’s my job not to have favourites but you can’t help it. It’s sad to see them go but we know they will do well.”
