The following article contains spoilers about this year’s X Factor, so if you don’t want to know info such as who gets which category this year, don’t read on!
The Sun and the Daily Mirror both have reports today which include details of which judge gets which category, and where they’ll be taking the hopefuls in order to whittle them down to the acts who will appear on the show.
It’s also rumoured that Kate Moss has been brought in to help one of the judges in choosing their acts. Kate is a close friend of Simon Cowell’s and a fan of X Factor. She attended several of the live rounds last year and brought her daughter Lila Grace to the final.
She and Simon are also both friends of Topshop billionaire Sir Philip Green who Simon has now teamed up with to launch a new entertainment company.
It’s also expected that pop star Lily Allen will be a guest on this year’s X Factor series, but the big news is which judge got which category. Both papers report that Louis will be mentoring the groups but The Sun says that Cheryl has the girls aged 16 to 25 while Dannii will mentor the boys in the same age group.
The Daily Mirror though reports that Dannii will be mentoring the under 25 girls and Cheryl the boys. Both papers report that Simon will mentor the over 25s.
A source close to the show told The Sun, “Louis was stunned to get the groups again.”
The Daily Mirror adds that “Simon Cowell will fly X Factor hopefuls to the world’s most exotic spots for a final stage build-up with no expense is spared.”
Simon will be taking the over-25s section to Los Angeles, Louis and the groups are going to Tuscany, Cheryl will be in Marrakech and Dannii in Dubai.
The budget for this year’s X Factor – which begins on ITV1 on August 22nd – is rumoured to be in the region of £6million.
I can’t wait!
