Baby boy for One Direction’s Liam Payne & Cheryl? But they can’t agree on his name?

by Lynn Rowlands

Though One Direction star Liam Payne and his partner, former X Factor judge Cheryl, still haven’t made any public comment on their baby news, that they are expecting a baby was confirmed earlier this week.

That came as Cheryl and Liam made an appearance at a charity event in London, and for the first time, Cheryl made no attempt to hide her baby bump…

However, opinion as to how far along in her pregnancy Cheryl may be has varied widely, with some mooting that she is around six-months pregnant, while others reckon she could well be ready to give birth before, or around, Christmas.

But regardless of when the baby is due, no doubt Cheryl and proud dad-to-be Liam Payne already know the sex of their baby. And if they do, then of course they will have discussed what to name their tot.

However, it seems they may disagree on what the baby should be called if it is a boy…

And that’s because – as we reported recently – while Cheryl favours Alfie for a baby boy, Liam wants to call the baby Taylor.

The Mirror reports that while discussing baby names, Liam said, “I like the name Taylor.

Taylor’s pretty neutral for a boy or a girl.”

He added, “That’s what I’m going to call my first child.”

So, whose team are you on in terms of Chiam’s baby names? Do you prefer Alfie or Taylor?

But of course, if Cheryl and Liam Payne were to have twin baby boys, then they can use both!

And as we reported earlier today, during Cheryl’s episode of BBC genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are? she will discover that there is a history of twins in her family.

However, one set of twins, Cheryl learned, was born out of wedlock, and at the time, that fact caused a huge “scandal in the community.”

You can see Cheryl on Who Do You Think You Are? on December 15th.

Meanwhile, don’t forget to let us know if you’re on Team Cheryl or Team Liam Payne when it comes to baby names!
