Beyonce to announce sixth studio album ‘Very Soon’?

by Nick Barnes

2016 is shaping up to be the most exciting year in music we have had in quite a while, and nothing has even happened yet.

We’re nearing the end of January and the speculation surrounding brand new albums from Beyonce and Rihanna have stepped up a gear over the past few days.

This morning, we reported tht Rihanna is apparently due to drop her highly anticipated eighth studio album, ANTI at some point this week. Whilst we don’t know when, what we do know is that Rihanna is apparently going for the element of surprise and dropping the album before Friday.

Now, our attention must turn to Queen Beyonce as we know that something from her is coming soon. It goes without saying that her new album must be on its way as photos of her on the set of a new music video last week have actually surfaced online.

As we reported last week, Beyonce was filming on a rooftop on Skid Row in Los Angeles, but at the time we didn’t really know what we going on. All we could see from the pictures that had been taken at the time was a red curtain situated on the roof, some pretty snazzy artwork, a massive lighting truck, a stunt truck… oh and Beyonce’s stunt double launching herself from the roof of the building.

The leading Beyonce news website – Beyonce Legion – uploaded the leaked photos to Twitter last night, and that is when some tea may have been spilled.

After having uploaded the pictures, LA Times music writer, Gerrick D. Kennedy quoted the tweet and wrote: “FYI: Announcement HELLA close”.

This got the BeyHive into a bit of a tizz, but then the reporter deleted the tweet. When pressed as to why he deleted the tweet by one Twitter user, he replied and simply stated “asked to”.

Could there be any truth behind this tweet? Well, as with anything, you have to take it with a pinch of salt. However, what we will say is that the reporter has been apparently been pretty reliable with bits of information in the past, so he could be onto something with this…

New music from Beyonce and Rihanna incoming… we’re not sure our hearts can take this.
