Lady Gaga has just dropped her brand new single ‘The Cure’ around the world, and we are LIVING for it!
Earlier this morning we reported that Lady Gaga debuted a brand new song at Cochaella titled ‘The Cure’ and it was a major surprise. The announcement of a new single came around half way through Lady Gaga’s headlining set. Pausing for a moment to speak to the crowd Gaga said that she was excited about the next part of the show as she had been keeping a big secret to herself.
At that point we didn’t know what was going to happen, but she quickly let us know that she has been in the studio working on new music and the result of which is her new single, which she performed for the very first time. At the moment we don’t know whether further new music is set to be released, but the important thing is… we have a new single from Gaga and it’s actually a summer banger.
At the end of her set, Gaga announced that her new single would be available to purchase this evening, and it is now available on iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music around the world. After having listened to the studio version of the track, I have to say that it checks every single box.
Lyrics include: “If I can’t find the cure, I’ll, I’ll fix you with my love. No matter what you know, I’ll, I’ll fix you with my love. And if you say you’re okay, I’m gonna heal you anyway. Promise I’ll always be there, promise I’ll always be the cure (be the cure)”.
The song has a summer vibe to it, and unlike some of Gaga’s previous releases, it is extremely radio friendly. We can hear this song blowing up the airwaves as it’s very much pop with a tropical feel. It’s not the Gaga that we’ve come to know over the years. Is there no end to her talent?
We think that given the right push, this song could do pretty well in the charts. Over the years Gaga has released different types of music that plays into different audiences, and sometimes music that only her fans may bop to, but I honestly think The Cure will catch on with so many people. It’s catchy, it has a summer vibe to it, and I think radio will get behind it. It’s a surprise, that’s for sure…
