Louis Tomlinson has officially landed himself a solo record deal.
Following in the footsteps of his former One Direction bandmates Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson is the latest and last member of the boyband to sign on the dotted line to release solo material.
It was announced on July 14 that Louis has officially signed a recording contract with Epic after the record label tweeted out the exciting news and welcomed the former boybander to the family.
“We’re thrilled to welcome @Louis_Tomlinson to the Epic family!” Epic Records wrote on Twitter this week.
Tomlinson then confirmed the news himself on his own Twitter page, retweeting the message and then adding the sunglasses wearing emoji.
Epic is a division of Sony, which means he’s joining Harry Styles, who is signed to Columbia Records, and former bandmates Zayn who has a contract with RCA.
As for Niall and Liam, then jumped ship from the Sony group and instead headed to Universal.
But while it may have taken a little while into One Direction’s hiatus for Tomlinson to land a deal of his own, it sounds like Louis is wasting no time after announcing the big news.
Louis is set to release the single Back To You with both Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals, on July 21.
Tomlinson previously dropped the song “Just Hold On” last year with Steve Aoki.
The song saw a whole lot of success around the world and has even been certified Gold in the UK for sales of more than 400,000.
