by Lynn Rowlands

It looks like Coronation Street bosses are lining-up a shock storyline for the New Year as it’s been claimed that pregnant Michelle will try to commit suicide!

It’s not known what prompts Michelle to feel such despair, however, there’s speculation that it may well be after she finds out Leanne is expecting Steve’s baby…

Likewise, there is speculation that perhaps something terrible will happen to Michelle and Steve’s unborn baby over Christmas.

But regardless of what prompts Michelle to reach the depths of despair, according to TV Biz, it will be Bistro owner Robert Preston who “talks her down” as she prepares to end her life.

The newspaper’s article states, “Michelle Connor will make a desperate suicide bid in a shock New Year storyline.

“The devastated character, played by Kym Marsh, breaks down in tears as she hangs over the edge of a railway bridge in shock new photos.”

As soon as we hear more about that shock plot twist, we’ll keep you posted.

Meanwhile, ITV have released first-look photos of Georgia Taylor back on the show as Toyah Battersby…

And as you can see in the image above, Georgia has teamed up with Jane Danson – who plays Toyah’s sister Leanne – for a festive snap.

As yet, the show’s bosses haven’t let on exactly why Toyah heads back to Coronation Street, but all is set to be revealed in episodes that will air over Christmas.

However, while discussing her return to Coronation Street, Georgia said, “Coronation Street has always had a place in my heart…

“I’m delighted to be working again with my good friend Jane Danson and bringing the Battersby sisters back together.”

And while hinting at what lies ahead for Toyah, Georgia added, “The scriptwriters and producers have come up with some fantastic, clever and detailed storylines…

“I feel excited to get started.”

We’ll be brining you a full rundown of all the biggest soap storylines ahead this Christmas very soon!
