There’s a lot of whodunits in the soap spectrum at the moment and the latest one in Corrie, who hit and then pushed Ken Barlow down the stairs?
On tonight’s episode, the police arrest Pat Phelan for the violent attack, but have they got the wrong man?
As the Barlow’s are each taken in for questioning in the wake of an attempted murder investigation being launched, Phelan’s name is one that keeps cropping up. After Ken ranted at him over his work on the kitchen, Phelan seemingly has as good of a motive as any.
The street has yet to learn that Phelan has actually been involved in two deaths since his appearance in the Manchester-based soap, but does this attack have his name written all over it?
The builder was the one to find Ken in a heap at the bottom of the stairs, but was this just a cover?
If Phelan isn’t the culprit, someone in the Street may be setting him up to take the wrap, but who?
Apparently veteran actor Bill Roache is the only one who knows the true culprit.
After having a bunch of scripts sent to him, the actor has worked out who it is.
Speaking to The Mirror, a source revealed that the actor is “keeping his lips sealed” but that there is “lots of conversation backstage at the moment.”
Even the suspects in the storyline don’t know the real culprit.
With multiple characters in the frame including the entire Barlow brood, other suspects include Daniel’s ex Sinead Tinker.
Coronation Street continues on ITV tonight at 7.30pm.
