EastEnders CONFIRMS Fatboy IS headed back to Walford?!

by Lynn Rowlands

I have yet to see last night’s EastEnders – long story as to why I missed it, but it involves a small dog, a large peanut and some Vaseline; honestly, don’t ask – but apparently, the show’s bosses may have dropped a rather large spoilery hint about a forthcoming plot twist…

According to the Daily Star today, Dot Branning was seen chatting with Vincent Hubbard, and during the course of their social intercourse, Dot asked Vincent if he’d heard from Fatboy lately.

EastEnders fans will of course know that last year, it seemed poor Fatboy had shuffled off the mortal coil having been mistakenly kidnapped and bundled into the boot of Vincent’s car.

Ronnie Mitchell had hired thugs to put the frighteners on Vincent, but when they found Fatboy driving Vincent’s car, they assumed he was Vincent, and so that, it seemed, was the end of Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb.

However, we viewers didn’t actually see Fatboy’s body, but we were led to believe that Vincent had…

We saw him grimacing at the contents of his boot – just before it was crushed – while extracting Fatboy’s blingtastic ‘F’ necklace.

Here’s a reminder…

But again, we did not see a body. So EastEnders fans have remained hopeful that that was deliberate in order to facilitate Fatboy’s return at a later date.

Anyway, back to last night’s show, and Dot apparently asked Vincent, “How’s Arthur? I haven’t had a postcard for months…”

EastEnders viewers rushed to Twitter to speculate on Dot’s mention of Fatboy, with one fan writing, “Fatboy will be back I reckon.”

Another tweeted, “Vincent and Dot talking about Fatboy… do I smell a back from the dead comeback?”

Well we certainly hope so. We’ve been praying to all the Gods of telly that Ricky Norwood would return to the show one day.

Here’s a reminder of the Fatboy greatness…

Meanwhile, in tomorrow night’s EastEnders, Martin is worried about money, and as he tells Carmel and Kush, he may not be able to get the first month’s rent together…
