EastEnders DEATHS teased in Christmas trailers & sinister new Lucy Beale twist! VIDEOS

by Lynn Rowlands

Last night’s episode of EastEnders ended on a happy note as a delighted Mick Carter brought baby son Olly out into the Square’s gardens to show mum Linda that he can walk…

And as Mick and Linda sobbed with the joy of the moment – they had feared little Olly may never walk – we viewers sobbed along with them.

However, happy endings on EastEnders usually mean only one thing; that tragedy awaits!

And judging by two trailers that the BBC have released teasing Christmas in Walford, Linda’s tears of joy are set to become tears of despair. But why?

Well, of course the show’s bosses aren’t giving anything away ahead of the festive episodes airing, but in the clips – which you can see below – we also see that there’s a sinister turn of events for Ian Beale when he receives a present from his dead daughter, Lucy…

Meanwhile, the Mitchell family pull out all the stops to make it a very happy Christmas for ailing Phil. However, there are several hints that not only will this be Phil’s last Christmas, he might not even live long enough to digest his turkey dinner.

Also facing their very last Christmas – though they of course don’t know it – are Mitchell sisters Ronnie and Roxy, who are set to die in the episode of EastEnders that airs on New Year’s Eve.

Elsewhere, and Stacey and Martin are in for a big yuletide treat when a mystery benefactor leaves them a huge turkey and all the trimmings by way of a Christmas present…

But while the Fowler clan are enjoying a merry Christmas, Max Branning is biding his time on the Square before revealing that he’s back in Walford. And one thing’s for sure; Max is determined to settle a few scores.

Back with the Carter family, and as Lee struggles with debt – which is rapidly mounting – his dad gives him some sage advice about how honesty is the best policy. However, when his workmate Oz turns up at The Vic, being honest about who he is is clearly not on Lee’s agenda.

So with the pressure mounting on poor Lee, will he see taking his own life as the only way out of his troubles?

And over with the Mitchell family, will they be saying a last goodbye to Phil even before they ring in the New Year?

Here are the trailers…
