Could Sam Mitchell be heading back to EastEnders?
Danniella Westbrook claimed during a recent appearance on Loose Women that she would be heading back to Albert Square as the famous Mitchell sister… but the BBC are saying not so fast.
After Westbrook claimed that she would be back on the square as Sam Mitchell at the end of this year, according to Metro, BBC are saying no such thing is happening. Awkward…
The outlet reached out to the network after Danniella said she’d be back, telling the site, “There are no plans for Danniella to return.”
Westbrook said she’d be reprising her role after opening up about her heart-breaking miscarriage on the daytime show earlier this week and then even went on to tell the co-hosts that she’d be returning to the soap as early as this year.
“There’s a big chance of me going back into EastEnders,” she said, even going as far as to reveal that she was “going to be back there at the end of the year.”
But while it sounds like Sam won’t be returning to the square anytime soon – despite Danniella’s claims – we do know that a new family will be heading to the square in the coming weeks.
As we previously reported, BBC just unveiled their new trailer for the upcoming episodes which shows the newbies seriously butt heads with Stacey Slater while it also looks like there’s some potentially devastating events coming up for Dot Cotton.
