The cast of EastEnders were recently spotted some heart-breaking funeral scenes for the BBC One soap, but who’s dead?
The Sun published photos of the cast, including Johnny, Whitney, Tina, Jay, Billy and Shirley (who may have been released from prison early or simply given day release) all looking solemn at a funeral amid reports Sylvie Carter is set to die in emotional scenes.
The site also claimed that the cast had a surprise visit from Natalie Cassidy who plays Sonia, revealing that Tina’s ex was also on hand at the funeral which showed a flower arrangement spelling out the word Mum.
However, one person who wasn’t in attendance? Danny Dyer’s Mick.
As fans will likely already know, Danny reportedly took some time away from the set last month under some pretty mysterious circumstances, and it looks like actor may not have returned to the show just yet.
Though EastEnders are yet to comment on the reason for his absence, an insider alleged to The Sun back in February that the actor was taking some time away “to sort his life out.”
“Danny has been the main conversation on set all week,” an insider told the newspaper last month. “No one knows exactly what is going on but it’s highly unusual for a core cast member to leave for weeks on end with no notice whatsoever.”
Danny and producers have stayed mainly tight lipped, though BBC One did confirm around a month ago that Dyer would be back on the set “in a matter of weeks,” though it looks like he may not have returned just yet.
