Also in this episode, after a successful rehearsal for the play, Denise is given a confidence boost by her tutor, Jorgen. Back home later, Denise arrives to find a touching gift from Patrick. But he doesn’t get the reaction he was hoping for as she drops a bombshell.
And finally, Shakil makes plans to get an oblivious Carmel out of the house ahead of his date with Bex tomorrow.

However, when Shakil comes up with an excuse to get out of a family dinner, Kush realises he’s hiding something. When he then finds out that Shakil and Bex are planning to sleep together, he offers some brotherly advice.
Elsewhere, Jane does her best to distract Ian on Lucy and Peter’s birthday. But when Lauren mentiones Peter, and wonders if she should contact him, Ian finally snaps. When Lauren leaves Jane and Ian alone, the pair have a heart-to-heart. Can they get to the bottom of what’s going wrong between them?
Also in this episode, Patrick accompanies a nervous Dot to the appointment with her eye specialist, but he oversteps the mark when he pushes her to start the treatment straight away.
Back on the Square later, Dot puts Patrick in his place and insists it’s her decision. Can he talk her round?
