Is Kush Kazemi about to make his exit from Albert Square?
EastEnders fans are speculating that the market trader could be one of the victims of the recent explosion on the square after new photos from upcoming episodes show him on the floor having a heart attack as Sonia desperately tries to save him.
The character, played by actor Davood Ghadami, is set for some dramatic scenes in next week’s episodes after he gets into a row with girlfriend Denise over taking their relationship to the next level.
Though he seemed to escape the explosion (which happened in last night’s episode) pretty much unscathed, next week the true results of the drama are clear as he collapses in the market.
That all goes down after Kush asks Denise to move in with him, though she doesn’t seem to keen to get so serious with her man – who just so happens to be the son of her best friend – just yet.
EastEnders and BBC haven’t yet commented, though we do know there’s going to be at least one death in the soap in the coming weeks.
But while we don’t yet know if Kush will survive, it would make sense for the character to be away from our screens (at least for a little while).
As we previously reported, Davood is taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, which means it makes sense that we probably won’t be seeing as much as Kush on the soap as we’re used to.
Though that could mean he’s just in for a lengthier hospital stay rather than leaving the soap for good.

EastEnders airs on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights on BBC One. Strictly Come Dancing is set to kick-off with the launch show on September 9.
