Strictly Come Dancing 2012: Craig Revel Horwood thinks Lisa Riley could win!

Craig Revel Horwood thinks Lisa Riley could win Strictly Come Dancing, if she gets the right dance on the final.

The former Emmerdale actress is a real fan favourite on the show but is clearly better at the Latin routines than the ballroom numbers and the judge thinks if she makes it to the last show of the series and lands one of the fast Latin numbers, she could well triumph over her fellow competitors.

On Saturday night’s show Lisa and her professional partner Robin Windsor danced the quickstep and afterwards Len Goodman praised her energy, Bruno Tonioli loved the personality she had on display, Darcey Bussell thought it was beautiful, fast and light but Craig criticised her shaping, and said it got a bit messy in places.

Explaining his comments on It Takes Two last night he added:

“You still have to be technical and she does suffer a little bit in the ballroom stuff because you have to have a much longer neck, a lot more grace, more poise. She does struggle in those things.”

However he has high hopes for the bubbly star and continued:

“What I think Lisa could possibly win it on is if she’s lucky enough to get a Latin dance.”

This weekend for the quarterfinal show, the contestants will be taking on a dance fusion routine. They will mesh two different styles of dance together and Lisa sounds excited by the prospect. She tweeted yesterday saying:

“Up very early this morning got to find out what @Robinwindsor wants to do with this “fusion dance” should be fun! Lets mix it up then?”

She showed her softer side in a message to outgoing contestant Michael Vaughan and added:

“@MichaelVaughan you are in one of the nicest people I have ever met true northern lad through and through going to miss you so much big hugs”
