Strictly Come Dancing 2012 Results: The Script perform ‘Hall Of Fame’ before Victoria Pendleton & Michael Vaughan danceoff

by Lisa McGarry

The Script made their Strictly Come Dancing debut this evening.

The Irish band – which of course features The Voice coach Danny O’Donoghue – took to the stage to perform their recent single ‘Hall Of Fame.’ It is the lead single from their third studio album #3.

The single debuted at number two on the UK Singles Chart earlier this year, losing the top spot to Ne-Yo’s “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself)”, before reaching number 1 a week later, marking The Script’s first UK number-one single.

The track features fellow The Voice star but the US star wasn’t in the studio this evening, it was just Danny and his pals.

We have to admit, that it wasn’t the best version of the track we have heard and actually for someone who is supposed to be a singing and performing expert, O’Donoghue could have delivered better and more tuneful vocals.

There were definite key issues we thought and we imagine Danny will be watching that performance back and cringing a little.

The performance took place just after Tess Daly revealed that Strictly stars Victoria Pendleton and Michael Vaughan would be facing the danceoff this evening, after being placed in the bottom two.

The pair were bottom of the leaderboard last night, so for the first time the public vote echoed the judges scores.

After the danceoff, all of the panel voted to save Michael and so Victoria left just a week before the semi final. You can read more on her elimination and tonight’s results show here.
