Ben cohen and Kristina Rihanoff took to the dance floor this evening and if anything, the Rugby ace is getting better by the week. Last week he scored his highest point tally to date. Tonight he will be dancing the Quickstep to Friends theme tune ‘I’ll Be There For You’
In his VT Ben said that last weekend’s dance was a good chance to let go a little bit. He felt at home throwing Kristina around the dance floor. He added that he feels he turned a corner now as he’s lost all confidence as he’s not necessarily competitive anymore.
Last week, Ben and Kristina received a standing ovation for their Salsa, which scored them a total of 31 points. “Dirty oiled mechanic… it’s ticking every box,” Craig told him, whilst Darcey said that she loves that he’s come out of his shell over the weeks.
We can’t have the friends theme tune without the iconic sofa from Central Perk. Another energetic performance from Ben this week, possibly a little stiff in places but carried off well.
- Len Goodman: “I agree. There is a way to make it harder, but throughout the evening there has been a lot of couples messing about. I understand you have to fill up the time, but what better way to sit on a sofa and throw popcorn at each other. Next week is week 6, I want to see fuller routines from everyone. What you did, you did well”.
- Bruno Tonioli: “If you’d have carried on longer, I might have joined in. You’ve been teasing us for weeks, we know you can do it and now, we want the full monty”.
- Craig Revel Horwood: “I felt you were out of your comfort zone at the beginning and I didn’t feel like you were leading throughout the dance. I loved your face though”.
- Darcey Bussell: “I wasn’t expecting you to be so light on your feet, so I need you to up the difficulty not. Next week, make it harder”.
Both Ben & Kristina received a combined score of 27 with a 6 from Craig Revel Horwood, a 7 from Darcey Bussell, a 7 from Len Goodman and a 7 from Bruno Tonioli.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow evening at 7:20pm on BBC One.
