Fans of Strictly Come Dancing have been eagerly awaiting the reveal of which celebs we can expect to see in this year’s Christmas special…
And they need wait no longer as it’s been reported today that among the all-star lineup for the festive fave are The Saturdays singer – and wife of JLS star Marvin – Rochelle Humes as well as EastEnders actor, Ricky Norwood. However, there’s some conflicting reports about him.
More on that in a moment, but first, The Daily Star Sunday reports that veteran DJ Sara Cox, West End star Elaine Paige, comedian Rufus Hound and Matt Goss from singing duo, Bros complete the lineup…
However, according to the Daily Mirror today, rather than Ricky Norwood, his EastEnders co-star Himesh Patel is expected to star in the special!
The paper states, “EastEnders’ Himesh Patel, 23, who plays market inspector Tamwar Masood, is rumoured to be signing.”
The Strictly Special, which will as ever be hosted by Sir Bruce Forsyth – assuming he doesn’t shuffle off the mortal coil, which as we reported yesterday, he expects could happen “anytime” – and Tess Daly, will air on BBC1 on Christmas Day.
A show source told the Mirror, “It will be tough for them as they will only get two weeks to rehearse before going on TV.
“Many are novices so they’re nervous about dancing for millions of viewers with such little training.”
Meanwhile, as we reported yesterday, Strictly bosses have announced that a special live show has been arranged for fans who weren’t able to get to last year’s live show venues due to the heavy snow last January.
The Express & Star revealed the news, writing, “Strictly Come Dancing fans who missed out on this year’s live shows due to severe snow will be the first to see the new tour when it kicks off in Birmingham.”
The special performance will take place on January 17, 2014 and will feature the celebrity lineup of this year’s series.
