It’s been reported this morning that former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark Wright – who’s currently dating Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan – has been offered “a considerable amount of money” to take part in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The Daily Star reports that a friend of Mark’s – whose own reality TV show Hollywood Nights flopped in the ratings and was subsequently cancelled – is “seriously considering” the offer.

The source said, “Mark was telling his mates in the pub that Strictly have been in touch…

“He said they’ve offered him a considerable amount of money and he’s really considering it.

“He’s up for a laugh and to be fair he’s a pretty good dancer. And he’d want to win.

“Mark knows he’s very buff so he would be up for all the tight Lycra and sequin.”lauren pope

Earlier this year, Markmeets reported that another TOWIE star, Lauren Pope, had revealed that she would love to take part in SCD.

She said, “I’d love to go on something like ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, it’s nice and glamorous.

“I don’t think I could do ‘Big Brother’. I think it’s a bit too … I don’t know, just imagine sitting on the toilet and thinking someone is watching you.

“I think I would be way too much of a wimp for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’

“I’d probably just get on with it and do it even though on the inside I’d be absolutely terrified.

“You’ve got to go for it otherwise it doesn’t come across very well. Something glam like ‘Strictly’ would be great.”

However, she added, “The only dancing I’ve done is when I’m drunk in a nightclub or at parties, I’d like to think I’ve got the moves, though.

“But when you’re drunk you think you’re the best dancer ever. I do a really good robot.”

Well, who doesn’t want to see that? But for now, here’s a reminder of Mark on TOWIE…
