Strictly Come Dancing 2013 Live Shows: Dave Myers’ “serious” performance somewhat resembled a waltz this week

It’s a wonder how Dave Myers is still in the competition as once again, he took his dad dancing to a whole new level this evening with his Waltz to The Eagles’ Take It To The Limit.

Dave says he was ecstatic with his dance last week, but the comments are deflating. He’s working as hard as he can, he’s getting the steps in… what more can he do? To get him ‘strictlyfied’ he had a spa day with Karen this week, which as you may have guessed… he loved!

Last week, Dave & Karen scored a disasterous total of 16. Craig was squirming in his chair as he told him “One word. Dreadful”. Len on the other hand said that Dave may not be the judges champion but he’s certainly the people’s champion … I certainly hope not!

I’ll give it to him, Dave’s dance was a lot more tone down this week and it looks like he put a lot of effort into it. One of HIS best dances but still not a patch on the competition.

Judges Comments

  • Len Goodman: “You titivated yourself up a treat. On strictly, the only failure is the failure to try and you try you hardest every week”.
  • Bruno Tonioli: “You scrub up very well, there’s a ray of hope on the horizon. It was minimal, but it did look like a waltz. It was better”.
  • Craig Revel Horwood: “It was all very placed, you need to feel the music a lot more and enjoy dancing the music. But, it’s nice to see the serious dave”.
  • Darcey Bussell: “You started really well, I’m loving the clean look and you do have elegant long limbs.. you just don’t use them”.

Both Dave & Karen received a combined score of 23 with a 5 from Craig Revel Horwood, a 6 from Darcey Bussell, a 6 from Len Goodman and a 6 from Bruno Tonioli.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow evening at 7:15pm on BBC One.
