Susanna Reid and her professional partner Kevin Clifton danced the Salsa to Shakira’s sizzling Whenever, Wherever, this evening.
Susanna said it felt amazing to dance the Viennese Waltz last week and this week, it’s a fast Samba. Susanna’s kids came down to the training studio this week and gave her their views. Seeing her boys really gave her the boost she needed to nail the dance.
Last week, the BBC Breakfast host received a HUGE score of 34. Len said it was a difficult dance and it was the best dance of the night, whilst Darcey said that she needs to improve her top line but nevertheless, she seems to improve every week.
I think Susanna had the wrong track tonight as her hips certainly didn’t lie… it was a very energetic performance and she definitely looked the part – rather tribal.
- Len Goodman: “You should be ashamed of yourself – a nice girl like you off the name, all bounce, bum and bongos. You’re flaunting yourself like that. You nearly gave me palpitations”.
- Bruno Tonioli: “Susanna, if you’ve got it, flaunt it. Sexy, saucy Susanna let her hair down. You put so much energy into that dance but by the time you finished it was a bit messy”
- Craig Revel Horwood: “I thought ti was a bit muddy actually. I felt at times you were fighting one another and going against one another. I feel it lost impact and you lost your neck at times. I know you can go further, your hip movements could have been broader”.
- Darcey Bussell: “I like the wild Samba queen, you were going for it. It’s true, there were a few messy bits and the finishes are a little fuzzy. I love your energy”.
Both Susanna & Kevin received a combined score of 29 with a 6 from Craig Revel Horwood, a 7 from Darcey Bussell, an 8 from Len Goodman and an 8 from Bruno Tonioli.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow evening at 7:15pm on BBC One.
