Breakfast presenter Susanna Reid and her professional partner Kevin Clifton were in high spirits when they appeared on the Halloween-themed It Takes Two last night.
This week, the pair have the Charleston, which is a really fast, upbeat dance. So far, the dance hasn’t exactly come together perfectly, but Kevin is confident that Susanna will pull it out of the bag as she always does.
Speaking about whether rehearsals go to plan, Kevin explained: “Not for the first three or four days of rehearsals. She always seems to pull it out on Saturday night. I’m constantly fearful, Halloween is 24/7 for me!”
He added about Craig’s comments on Saturday: “It could have been the medication, but we’ll take it.”
“I couldn’t believe my hears hearing Craig say ‘Gorgeous’. It’s lovely to be up there and to be so close to the top, it’s a real privilege to be near Abbey [Clancy] and Natalie [Gumede],” Susanna said.
Going back to the rehearsal talk, Kevin added: “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and a bit of Thursday are so stressful… we have loads of fun but the dance doesn’t come together until after that”.
The pair have the Charleston this week and Susanna is absolutely loving the dance so far – but we’ll see how much she loves it come Saturday night.
Speaking about the Charleston this week, Susanna said: “I love it, I absolutely love it. It has fantastic spirit and character. Things can go terribly wrong so there’s something frightening about it as well”.
Of course, Halloween week means even more over the top costumes… Kevin has given us a little clue so far in regards to his facial hair…could he be a beast?
He told Zoe Ball: “I’m going to be dressing up in something scary! I’ll give you a clue – I’ve been growing my facial hair since the beginning of this series”.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday (November 2) at 6:30pm on BBC One/HD.
