Poor Casualty star, Patrick Robinson is still wearing his wrist brace, but he’s assured us all that his wrist IS getting better and he’s going to come out fighting on tonight’s show.

Appearing on It Takes Two last night with his professional partner Anya Garnis, the actor said that he finds himself ‘just going for it’ and he doesn’t necessarily focus on worrying about things, which is how he has gotten through this week’s rehearsals with quite a sore wrist.

When asked if everyone at Casualty has had a bit of a giggle about his wrist, Patrick said: “Of course, everyone has had a good laugh”.

“I just go for it really. Not worrying about it too much and looking at what’s next,” he said about throwing himself back in the deep end this week.

Last week’s dance wasn’t one of Patrick’s best and that was down to him having a bad wrist, not mentioning the dance was changed just hours before to incorporate Patrick’s injury. He didn’t score all that well with the judges and he ended up in the Bottom Two on Sunday, surviving by the skin of his teeth.

Speaking about last week’s dance, Patrick said: “I was happy to get through it so with those comments in the end I was like ‘okay, fine!’ I suppose when we weren’t in the first batch, I kind of knew. I said I knew we’d be dancing in the dance-off”.

Anya added: “I looked at him and asked him how he was feeling and he said ‘I just love dancing’.”

This week is of course the second themed week of the series and Halloween has taken over the Strictly Set. They will be dancing the Quickstep this evening and it’s quite a fast-pawed, enthusiastic dance… they’ll have a job dumbing it down and making such an energetic dance a little frightening.

“Zoe, the quickstep is so quick!” Patrick exclaimed.

Anya said of the choreography: “I’m very pleased, I didn’t hold back – I closed my eyes and thought ‘I’m going for it!’”

Strictly Come Dancing continues this evening at 6:30pm on BBC One/HD.
