The only thing that was haunting Patrick Robinson ahead of tonight’s show was that dodgy wrist!! This evening, the Casualty star and his professional partner Anya Garnis danced the Quickstep to Atomic Fireballs’ ‘Man With the Hex’ – spooky!

Last week Patrick found himself in the bottom two with one hand after an injury, with the general consensus from the judges being that his routine was a bit stop-start making the whole evening rather disappointing for Patrick.

Last week was a (in the voice of Craig) disaaaaster darliiiing! During the week, he’d badly hurt his wrist after he fell over roller-skating during rehearsals and only received a score of 28. Although the dance was adapted just a few hours before, it was all a bit “stoppy and starty”.

However this week they are have found training difficult with his injury still plaguing his performance, not to mention dodgy knees thrown in for good measure but they were determined to get it right on the night.

It was smiles all round as Patrick and Anya as they quick-stepped it round the entire dance floor in perfect unison to each other, with Patrick displaying some of that now infamous hip action that Craig is a huge fan of, earning them a huge cheer from the crowd when they finished!

Judges Comments

  • Len Goodman: “I was bewitched by the routine and the performance, but a little bit bothered by the lack of body contact, but absolutely bewildered by the energy, the speed and the joy of the dance. If you are in the dance-off again after tonight I will pickle my walnuts!”
Bruno Tonioli: “The magic spell you conducted had all the right ingredients, that really was a spooky riot of a quickstep, you put more content in tonight than you have with any other routine and overall it was actually very good.”
Craig Revel Horwood: “The energy was phenomenal I loved the whole theatricality of the whole dance it was full of character your timing was, as always exceptional – Great work!”
Darcey Bussell: “Anya I just want to say you have worked with Patrick’s strengths, the choreography was brilliant, I really enjoyed that and it was a spell-bounding footwork, Great work, well done!”

Both Patrick & Anya received a combined score of 34 with a 8 from Craig Revel Horwood, a 9 from Darcey Bussell, a 9 from Len Goodlam and a 8 from Bruno Tonioli.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow evening at 7:20pm in which another couple will be given the boot.
