The Voice is set to bring us some proper eye candy when it returns to our screens this weekend and we have to admit, we’re rather excited about it all.
Nothing brightens up a Saturday night more than a handsome man singing a romantic song and Femi Santiago more than brings the goods, when he shows up for a blind audition.
The 27 year old crooner performs for Kylie Minogue, Tom Jones, Will.i.am and Ricky Wilson and he brings a touch of emotion and personal experience to his tryout, telling the coaches afterwards that he chose My Cherie Amour by Stevie Wonder, as it’s his flirtation song for his wife.
‘That is my flirtation song with my wife,’ Santiago tells the panel.
‘I have learnt a lot of seduction techniques by listening to Stevie! I am still his student,’ he laughs.
Femi focussed all of his flirtation on Kylie on the night though and in an interview with Metro he revealed that he felt she was the star he needed to win over.
We can’t reveal whether or not Ms Minogue turned to offer him a place in her team, but the wannabe definitely gave it his best shot and explained:
‘My music tends to be quite romantic and slow and slightly seductive. With Kylie being the only female on the panel, she is definitely the one I was wanting to focus that aspect of my singing on,’ he said.
Luckily Femi’s wife didn’t mind him getting obsessed with another lady and the couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary this week.
He tweeted fans a few days ago saying:
“My beautiful wife on our 2nd wedding anniversary…love her so much!!! Xxx ”
The singing hopeful added:
“Music is my passion…fuelled by my family surrounding me…with that I strive to succeed”
Also appearing on The Voice this weekend is Max Murphy, a judo expert and potential Olympian sports star.
He performs Electric Feel by MGMT for the panel but told The Sun that if his singing dreams don’t pan out, then he will fall back on his sports career.
