The Voice UK continues this evening on ITV with the third live show of the series, and it promises to be spectacular.
Tonight, Team Will.i.am take to the stage to perform live for the very first time. Last weekend, Team JHUD and Team Tom took to the stage for the first time and their teams were whittled down from six to just three.
This weekend, Team Will and Team Tom will be brought down to just three team members as well.
Hoping that she has what it takes to make it through to the next stage of the competition is 20 year old Clara Hurtado. Tonight, she is performing Anne-Marie’s hit single, ‘Alarm’.
In her VT she said: “I have been singing for as long as I remember. My earliest memory of singing on stage was a little singing competition. Since being on The Voice, the response online has been amazing, but it has added a lot of pressure. When I heard the song choice I wasn’t sure about it as I don’t think I could do it justice, but it got me excited to see what we could do with the song. Will is amazing and with his help we figured out what we could do with the song. I am so happy it has got Will’s stamp all over it”.
Here’s what the coaches through of her performance tonight:
- Jennifer Hudson: “I just want to dd that dress to my closest. Everything Gavin said – I feel like you’re an artist already”
- Tom Jones: “I think it has all been said. Not much to add to that… I loved it”
- Gavin Rossdale: “The thing about this competition is finding individual artists. Clara you take a song, make it your own, you look and sound great, it’s really special. Will, is right, the red dress is awesome”.
