The Voice: Jane Fraser makes blush & Angie Brown makes a comeback!

by Lisa McGarry

Jane Fraser

Jane Fraser has more than just her voice to offer on The Voice tonight, she’s all woman it seems.

The supermarket demonstrator takes to the stage to perform I Heard It Through The Grapevine but before singing she reveals her day to day life, explaining:

“I work for a large supermarket as a demonstrator, the person that tries to coach you into trying a product. I basically have fun with people.”

We can’t give too much away about the outcome of her audition, but after the performance tells the hopeful:

“I like your dress, it’s very Hawaiian.”

Jane teases the Black Eyed Peas star saying:

“Do you think he’s coming onto me?”

She giggles:

“He’s getting nervous.”

Will confesses:

“I am nervous.”

Even Kylie Minogue is surprised and adds:

“You have made shy!”

Also making waves is vocal powerhouse Angie Brown.

The 50 year old performer was big news back in the 90s when she topped the charts with Bizarre Inc’s “I’m Gonna Get You”, and she relives the experience by performing it again for the coaches at her blind audition.

Brown has also performed backing vocals for Grace Jones, Beverley Knight, Mark Morrison, The Rolling Stones, The Dirty Strangers, Kate Bush, Chaka Khan, Heaven 17, Neneh Cherry, Lisa Stansfield, Mola Mola, The Stereophonics and Fat Boy Slim.

She has reality TV experience too, having previously appeared on ITV programme Club Reps previously.

After the audition Kylie raves about Angie’s performance, saying:

“I was once in the clubs dancing to it [“I’m Gonna Get You”] weekend, after weekend, after weekend. It was amazing and what a pleasure to hear you sing it live.”
