The Voice is finally moving towards the battle rounds, our favourite part of the series and it’s been confirmed that last year’s runner up Leah McFall will be playing her part.
The Belfast born singer finished in second place on the 2013 series of the show and once the competition ended she headed straight to LA with her mentor Will.i.am to record her first album.
The star is preparing to drop the record next month, so what better time to make a return to the small screen eh?
McFall teased us just a few weeks ago with a snippet of her new tune ‘No Ordinary Love’ and revealed that it was the first track she and Will wrote together. Have a listen, it’s pretty amazing!
This weekend Leah will join the Black Eyed Peas star and his long time pal Dante Santiago as they coach the 2014 hopefuls before their battle round performances. It’s fair to say she will have a great insight, since it’s only ten months since she sang and won against CJ Edwards.
This year’s series of The Voice has been the most successful yet, and much of that is credited to pop princess Kylie Minogue who replaced Jessie J on the panel this year.
It was recently reported that the Australian star was considering leaving the BBC show, as she was finding it difficult when forced to point out the more negative aspects of some performances.
However in a new interview with MTV, Minogue denied the claims and insisted that she is ‘in for the long run’ and enjoying the ‘great experience.’
However the pint sized singer did admit that the experience has been more ‘intense’ than she could have expected ad has involved a lot of ‘long days’, but she’s been taking tips from Tom Jones, who refrains from getting ‘too involved’ in all the drama.
Kylie also revealed in a different interview, that she is considering adopting a baby later in the year, having started to accept the fact that a biological child may not be on the cards for her. She told The Sun:
“Life took a different turn. I’d consider adopting.”
Lastly, in the land of The Voice, the Battle Round teams have finally been confirmed and we went to great lengths to compile the names and details of all the contestants’ blind auditions here.
Will.i.am seems pretty sure that he has the strongest group as he moves towards the live shows, but we think Kylie could put up some stiff competition for the star.
